What Is The Downtime After Having A FotoFacial?
There is essentially no downtime after having a FotoFacial. Some clients experience minimal redness and swelling for a few days and clients who have sun damage will experience 7-14 days of exfoliation of their sun damage.
Does It Hurt?
The discomfort that clients feel during a FotoFacial varies. Some say that it feels similar to a rubber band snap and others feel almost nothing. We make available a topical anesthetic to be applied to the area being treated one hour before treatment to minimize discomfort.
What Will I Have To Do After My Treatment?
As with all light based treatments, the skin is dried and sensitive as a result of the heat and light and therefore must be kept moisturized and sun-screened. Here at Wade Laser Clinic, we recommend post procedure options that includes all the products you will need to care for your skin post-procedure. Sun exposure must be kept at a minimum for several days.
Will I Need To Have More Than One Treatment?
To get the best results, 2-3 treatments, scheduled 2 weeks apart, is recommended. The number of treatments will depend on the desired result and the condition of your skin before treatment. Diligent use of good skincare products and sunscreen after treatment will ensure that the results from your procedure last longer.
What Things Can A FotoFacial Treat?
FotoFacials are used to treat sun damage, redness and vascularities, dyschromia (uneven skin tone), acne, and laxicity (crepey skin).
